The purposes for which this Corporation is formed are exclusively voluntary and educational; consist of:

Goal: To raise the economic, educational and social levels of said participants inclusive of the culturally disadvantaged who exhibit needs for academic support, guidance and counseling. This goal will be achieved through the following objectives.

PACTS will:

• Provide and strengthen academic skills
• Help increase test scores on TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Academic Skills) and other standardized tools;
• Promote and support educational programs for parents
• Enhance parental involvement in schools
• Increase confidence, self-esteem and self-direction
• Encourage independence, responsibility and leadership skills
• Integrate technology into academic learning techniques
• Provide materials for classroom activities and test taking skills
• Secure external fellowships/assistantships, scholarships incentives
• Monitor and evaluate student progress
• Secure external evaluators to review progress annually
• Provide opportunities for parents to seek community challenges to meet their needs

• Personalized and computerized learning/ teaching approaches.
• Teaching/learning strategies: one-on-one/small group instruction.
• A positive relaxed learning environment increases performance in school work
• Positive reinforcement of desired behavioral changes (operant conditioning) Praise vs. Punishment.
• Thorough diagnostic / prescriptive remediation in Math, Reading, and English, (LEP and ESL) and Writing (including testing assessment and writing individual learning packets).
• Cordial, friendly, caring, loving, innovative, flexible and quality/structured techniques and procedures.
• Classroom tutors/students/parent feedback/communication of performance for evaluation/planning purposes
• Parental involvement/counseling (Positive Collaborative Partners/Disciplinarians at home and at schools)
• Increase individual TAKS scores
• Computerized application to improve test-taking strategies and skills.
